My area of specialization is, Coal Gasification, combined cycle Power Plant, Fertilizer and Petrochemical process units, Boilers & Waste Heat Boilers, Steam & Power Generation systems, Gas handling system & large Utilities & Offsite facilities which I commissioned successfully and took over their day to day operations for Business development. During my 13 years stay in Haldia Petrochemicals Limited, as a Team Leader of Naphtha Cracker Associated Units ( Benzene, Butadiene, PGHU& CHU Units ) led a team of professionals for the 30% capacity augmentation which was executed and put back in a stream between Nov 2009 to March 2010, safely and timely. I Can lead a team of professionals in the above areas from Conception & Technology selection, operational cost analysis, pre-commissioning & Commissioning to safe, cost-effective normal operation. Strongly believe in Target oriented Team approach to achieve the goal, through an interactive motivating culture. Well versed with the integrity and inter dependability of various areas on one another, in the operation of a mega module complex, to maximize the Business growth and economic trouble-free operations. Possess high potential as a Business Developer, Team Builder with long term relationships and styles which combine the ability both to challenge and also to support the Business Managers. Retired as an Associate Vice President from the Coal Gasification Plant of Jindal Steel & Power Limited, who has implemented this mega project at Angul , Odisha and first time to produce Steel through Coal Gasification route, using Sub Bituminous coal. Took the challenge of building a Team with 80% freshers from various Engineering Colleges, train and led the Team for safe, smooth, and timely commissioning of this mega coal gasification project and put back in normal operation, which has been demonstrated by this in-house Team without the Technology Licensor. Played a key role for the feasibility study and technology selection of the Jindal Coal to Liquid project. A hardcore commissioning & operation engineer, Possess long hands-on experience in various types of coal gasification processes, their configuration and applications to Steelmaking, production of Power, Fertilizer, and Petrochemicals. Well-versed with entrained bed, fixed bed, fluidized bed, and transport gasifiers, their merits, and demerits with Indian coals. Can identify the properties of coal and their impact on the gasification process for effective utilization. Carried out testing of Talcher coal in pilot scale in KBR Transport Gasifier at EERC, North Dakota, USA and made the sick Envirothermgasifier possible to operate at Jindal Steel, Barbil.
